Judy Wang OTR/L

Occupational Therapist

After graduating from the University of California, San Diego, with a double degree in Psychology and Human Development, Judy was looking for a career where she can help children with special needs. Drawn to the pediatric population, she soon found herself volunteering in an outpatient pediatric clinic. It was then and there that she fell in love with the way occupational therapists guide, interact, and motivate their patients.

Fueled by this newfound passion, Judy enrolled in the University of Southern California where she obtained a Master of Arts degree in Occupational Therapy in 2014. Judy has experience working with children of all ages, ranging from infants to teenagers. She is passionate about her work as an occupational therapist and strives to provide the best care for all the special kiddos that she interacts with everyday.

In her free time, Judy enjoys a good Netflix binge, cooking, and spending quality time with her family.

Jenna Syverson OTR/L

Occupational Therapist

Jenna’s passion for working with children began at a young age working as a volunteer (and eventually as a staff) at a summer camp for children with special needs. She became excited to pursue a career in occupational therapy where she could continue to explore and cultivate her drive for helping children and young adults engage in daily activities to the best of their ability. Jenna graduated with a master’s degree in occupational therapy from the University of Scranton in 2014. She has worked as an OT in New York in various settings, including inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient adult neurology and pediatrics, school system, sensory gym, and a pediatric hospital setting. She then traveled across the country to work as a travel therapist with her fiancé, who is a physical therapist, before joining Leaps in April 2020. She has participated in continuing education in many areas including pediatric aquatic therapy, pediatric feeding, sensory/ behavioral regulation, and NDT.

In her free time, Jenna enjoys traveling and being outdoors (camping, skiing, running, hiking), going to the beach, painting/crafting, and cooking. She and her fiancé also enjoy spending time with friends and family.

Madison joined Team Leaps in late 2017 and was previously a volunteer with us! She grew up around horses and says she now has the coolest job being able to be around them and see how they help heal kiddos. Her favorite horse on the ranch is Rusty. She shared that she has an older brother with down-syndrome that has inspired her to pursue a career where she can help others with special needs. Madison and her brother love to listen to Disney music in the car! She also shared that she has two Boston Terriers that love to cuddle and get in the trash. On her days off she loves going to Disneyland with her niece and riding the Ariel ride. She says that Leaps has taught her that working together is the best way to work and that it is possible to have a job that you love and want to come back to.
