Sam is a licensed and credentialed speech language pathologist who started her Speech career in 2011. She enjoys helping kids find their voice so they can communicate effectively with their family and friends. Sam earned her Masters of Science in Speech Language Pathology from MGH-Institute of Health Professions in Boston, MA. It was there she found her passion for the multi-disciplinary approach to working with individuals in therapy. Sam earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communicative Disorders from the University of Redlands in 2009. In 2020, Sam received the A.C.E. award from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) for her commitment to continuing education. In her spare time, Sam enjoys traveling, playing with her daughter and reading.
Sam has completed the American Hippotherapy Association Level 1 training.

Paige Bakkers SLPA

Speech and Language Pathology Assistant
Paige is a licensed SLPA who received her Bachelor’s Degree from California State University, Fullerton. Paige’s experience working with kids at a young age led her to a career in Speech. She believes helping others find their voice is the most rewarding job you can have.
In her spare time, Paige enjoys camping, walking her dog, and spending time with her family.
Paige has completed the American Hippotherapy Association Level 1 training.

Sarah Clark M.S. CF-SLP
Speech Clinical Lead, Corona
Speech and Language Pathologist
Sarah is a licensed Clinical Fellow SLP. She earned her Master of Science in Communication Disorders from the University of Texas at Dallas. There she became interested in playing a role in the developmental component of speech and language. Sarah enjoys helping kids improve their functional communication skills over time.
In her free time, Sarah enjoys spending time with her family and listening to music.

Ximena Talavera M.S. CF-SLP
Speech and Language Pathologist
Ximena is a licensed and credentialed speech-language pathologist who graduated with a Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Loma Linda in 2020. In addition to her time as an SLP, Ximena also has 3 years of experience as an SLPA. During this time, she found her passion for helping children find their voices. She has worked in a variety of clinical settings as well as in the public school system, in which she has worked in early intervention, special populations of syndrome disorders, language development, pragmatic social groups, speech sound disorders, and fluency disorders.
In her free time, Ximena enjoys spending time with her husband and their two dogs, going to Disneyland with her family, and doing anything that allows for a creative outlet such as DIY activities.

Jaylyn Hinson SLPA
Speech and Language Pathology Assistant
Jaylyn is a licensed SLPA who received her Bachelor’s degree from California Baptist University. Jaylyn learned about speech therapy at a young age and knew she wanted to be a speech therapist ever since. She spent most of her summers volunteering her time here at Leaps & Bounds until she began college. In college, her passion for children of all abilities grew as she coached a special needs cheerleading team. Jaylyn truly believes that communicating is the key to success.
In her spare time, Jaylyn enjoys going on spontaneous adventures, hanging out with friends and family, and taking her dog on walks.

Andrew Fica SLPA
Speech and Language Pathology Assistant
Andrew is a licensed SLPA who received his Bachelor’s degree from California Baptist University. He found his passion for the field of Speech and Language Pathology at a young age, as his passion for music and drive to help others led him to the perfect avenue to provide service to those in need. Andrew believes that effective and functional communication is the key to helping others express themselves, and in turn allowing their own unique personalities to emerge as communication skills continue to develop and improve.
In his free time, Andrew enjoys playing guitar, listening to music, and spending time with his girlfriend and family.

Lisa Ramirez SLPA
Speech and Language Pathology Assistant
Lisa is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant who graduated from California State University, Fullerton with her Bachelor’s in Kinesiology in 2015. She then earned her Post-Baccalaureate Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Chapman University. Lisa has a background in Applied Behavior Analysis and has a passion for working with kids. She has worked with children of all ages and loves to see them grow, reach their goals, and find their voice.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, and making charcuterie boards.

Amanda Moscrip SLPA
Speech and Language Pathology Assistant
Amanda is an SLPA and received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Arizona. She became familiar with the field from an early age and became fascinated by the varying effects that speech therapy has on functional communication for daily life. She also knew that she wanted to become a part of a field that helps individuals gain a sense of independence when they might feel like they aren’t given the chance to. With her passion for helping people, she knew this was the path for her.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Christy Morales CF SLP
Speech Language Pathologist
Christy is a licensed Clinical Fellow SLP. She earned her Masters of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Faulkner University located in Montgomery, AL, and her Bachelors of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Redlands. She discovered a passion for speech therapy after working in the schools as an instructional aide and seeing the difference it can make in children’s lives. Christy fully believes in a family-centered approach and loves seeing kids grow their communication skills. She has always had an interest in animal-assisted therapy and even dedicated her Master’s thesis to its positive effects in speech therapy. Her research is what brought her to Leaps and Bounds, and is so excited to utilize Hippotherapy as part of her practice.
In her free time, Christy enjoys hiking, reading, going to amusement parks, watching movies, and spending time with her fiancé and fur babies.

Sarah Hsieh CF SLP
Speech Language Pathologist
Sarah is a licensed clinical fellow speech-language pathologist. She graduated from California State University, Pomona with a B.A. in Psychology in 2016 and later went on to earn her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in April 2022. After being introduced to speech-language pathology at a young age, her passion for the field grew as she saw the need for children to become effective communicators and desires to see them improve their functional communication. Her professional experience includes working with individuals of all ages, ranging from infants to adults in a variety of settings. From a young age, Sarah has always been passionate about working with kids as she is the oldest of 6, serves in children’s ministry at church, and has been a counselor at camps for kids with special needs. Sarah began her Leaps journey as a volunteer for the hippotherapy program during undergrad and just knew she had to come back!
In her free time, Sarah loves spending time with family and friends, riding bikes, swimming and surfing, trying new foods, traveling to new places, and hanging out at the beach and Disneyland.
